SUMMARY:Summer Camp - Get Outside!
DESCRIPTION:Let’s head outdoors and explore! Campers will spend lots of time outside discovering the world around them\, so don’t forget to pack sunscreen\, a water bottle\, and clothes ready for exploring. Who loves camping? What wildlife have you spotted before? We’ll talk about animals\, habitats\, and all the amazing things nature has to offer. \n\n\n\nThroughout the week\, we’ll dive into camping themes\, wildlife exploration\, and creative nature play. Campers will go on exciting scavenger hunts\, create animal masks\, and paint beautiful nature-inspired landscapes. We’ll also learn how to draw incredible adorable animals with our resident artist Sonia Nadeau\, using observation and imagination to bring them to life on paper. \n\n\n\nFriday will be a very special adventure day! 🌳 \n\n\n\nMost of the day will be spent outdoors as we head to Mike Schout Wetlands in the morning. Please be sure to arrive at Wilmot & Wellesley Resource Centre by 9:00 A.M. so we can walk together. Campers will use tablets to take amazing nature photos\, capturing plants\, nature textures\, wildlife\, and scenery along the way. \n\n\n\nAfter our morning adventure\, we’ll return to the Centre for a pizza lunch and bathroom break. In the afternoon\, campers will create a gorgeous painting inspired by one of their own nature photos from the morning. \n\n\n\nGet ready for a week full of exploring\, creating\, learning\, and connecting with nature—let’s get outside and enjoy every moment! \n\n\n\nPizza lunch on Friday! Two snacks provided during the day\, but no lunch provided Monday-Thursday. Subsidies available on first come\, first serve basis. Perfect for children ages 5-12. \n\n\n\nRegistration is open!
