Summer Camp – Make Some Noise

July 17 @ 8:15 am 5:00 pm

Turn up the volume because this week is all about sound, music, and making a joyful racket!

From the moment we start, campers will dive into a world of noise by exploring real musical instruments like the cello, violin, guitar, ukulele, drums, and more. They’ll get hands-on time trying instruments. Which one is your favourite? Learn how different sounds are made.

We won’t just play music, we’ll create it! How can two styles sound so wild and wonderful in their own ways? We’ll listen, compare, and explore! Campers will design and build their own instruments, experiment with rhythm and beats. They will learn how music can be fast, slow, loud, soft, and everything in between. What is classical music? What makes punk music so different? Which one is your favourite?

This week also features some incredible special guests, including the amazing cellist Trina Nadeau and special guests from the punk band Stand Against Fear. Campers will learn what it’s like to be a real musician, talk about what makes a great band name, and discover how music can express feelings, stories, and big ideas.

By the end of the week, we’ll be rocking out, making noise, laughing lots, and celebrating creativity through sound. Get ready to stomp, strum, bang, sing, and make some noise all week long!

Pizza lunch on Friday! Two snacks provided during the day, but no lunch provided Monday-Thursday. Subsidies available on first come, first serve basis. Perfect for children ages 5-12.
